Lumen5: 25,000 – 500,000+ Monthly Organic Visitors in One Year

Lumen5 is a SaaS company that helps video marketers make videos seamlessly to market their brand, educate their fans, and reach new audiences.

Background

Lumen5 is a video marketing software. They needed help understanding their customer persona, brand, and user acquisition channels. We analyzed their competitors and market, then created a plan to drive users from organic blog content and landing pages.

Growth Strategy:

After analyzing competitors and using tools to understand organic content and competition, we created 30 blog posts and 27 landing pages to bring in the majority of their organic leads. We also redesigned their blog for better user acquisition and implemented blog CTAs to drive homepage signups. Lastly, we helped design a template directly to bring in more organic leads.

With all of this, we even found a few growth hacks to rank for competitive keywords using the video-featured snippet spot that Google offers. Take a look at Lumen5’s 1st place featured snippet spot for “video grabber tools.”

This growth hack enabled us to rank for video-featured snippets using blog posts rather than videos.

Growth Results:

In order to rank the content, we drove over 210 backlinks to landing pages and blog posts. In a short time, we scaled their organic by 75,000+ visitors/month from when we started in April 2019 to December 2019.

From there. we doubled down on our learnings and produced content and backlinks around five more high-value pieces. By dialing in, we added an additional 150,000 visitors/per month over the next three months.

After December, we focused again on ranking a few highly selected pieces which catapulted our organic growth rate.
